Meet Delaney
Delaney O’Keefe is the founder of First, Faith, a platform dedicated to sharing the hope, love, joy, and peace that comes from the good news of the gospel.
Delaney loves to travel and find the hidden places that the Lord reveals through His creation and His people. Delaney believes that each interaction with God’s creation is intentional, therefore, it’s important to be intentional with time, words, and truth in return.
Some of Delaney’s favorite creations include the ocean, sunsets, city lights, animals, and YOU.
Our Logo
The First, Faith logo is more than a design; it represents identity, conviction, and legacy.
Irish surnames, like O’Keefe, typically include a crest and a motto. The First, Faith logo is a modern taken on what generations of the O’Keefe bloodline has used as their crest.
At its center stands the lion, symbolizing deathless courage, bravery, and strength. The cross symbolizes bold faithfulness.
The deep green reflects hope, joy, and loyalty, while the gold represents generosity.
The O’Keefe family motto is “Forti et Fideli Nihil Dodhéanta”— “Nothing is impossible for the brave and faithful.” Which, when we give our life to Jesus, this statement is made true because Luke 1:37 says, “Nothing is impossible with God.”
Mission Statement
First, Faith exists to advance biblical literacy and equip people to know, articulate, and courageously live out biblical truth. First, Faith seeks not only a physical revival but a heart transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit. Through Christian education, media, teaching, events, and resources, we desire to develop a generation that is brave and faithful in its commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word.
501(c)(3) Purpose Statement:
First, Faith is organized exclusively for religious, charitable, and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The organization exists to advance the Christian faith, promote biblical literacy and Christian education, equip individuals to understand and apply biblical principles, and provide religious and educational teaching, media, resources, programs, and events consistent with its Christian beliefs and mission.
Statement of Faith:
First, Faith is a Christian ministry committed to the authority of Scripture, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the call to faithfully live according to God's Word through the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe biblical truth should not merely be known, but lived, defended, and proclaimed with bravery, faithfulness, and love.
The Bible
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and the ultimate authority for Christian faith, doctrine, and life. Scripture is God-breathed, trustworthy, and sufficient for teaching, correction, instruction, and training in righteousness.
God
We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three Persons, one God. God is Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is holy, righteous, loving, merciful, just, sovereign, and faithful. Everything exists by Him and for His glory.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man.
We believe He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, proclaimed the Kingdom of God, performed mighty works, and willingly gave His life on the cross for the sins of humanity.
We believe Jesus physically rose from the dead, demonstrating His victory over sin and death. He ascended into heaven, reigns at the right hand of the Father, and will return again.
We believe Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life and that reconciliation with God is found through Him.
Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace received through faith in Jesus Christ.
Jesus willingly bore our sins upon the cross, receiving the judgment we deserved and making reconciliation with God possible. Salvation cannot be earned through human effort or good works.
There is no sin too great for the grace of Jesus Christ when brought before Him in genuine repentance. Because Christ rose from the dead, those who belong to Him have the hope of forgiveness, restoration, transformation, and eternal life.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is fully God and eternally one with the Father and the Son. We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world concerning sin, draws people toward truth, indwells believers, guides them, comforts them, sanctifies them, and empowers them to faithfully follow Jesus Christ.
We also believe in the gifts of the Spirit: tongues, healings, dreams, visions, etc. We can receive these gifts with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, as in Acts 3. Through these gifts, we can do the miraculous works of the Spirit to point people to Jesus.
Christian Life
We believe following Jesus is a lifelong call to faithfulness, obedience, holiness, love, humility, courage, and self-denial. Jesus calls His followers to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him. Christian faith therefore involves more than intellectual agreement or cultural identification. It requires the continual surrender of our lives to Christ.
Human Dignity
We believe every human being is created in the image and likeness of God and therefore possesses inherent, God-given dignity, value, and worth. We believe human life is sacred and worthy of protection from its earliest stages in the womb through natural death. We believe God created humanity male and female designed for union and covenantal marriage between the two and that His creation of humanity was intentional and good.
The Great Commission
The Gospel was never intended to remain private.
We believe Jesus Christ commands His followers to make disciples of all nations, proclaim the Gospel, teach His Word, and faithfully represent Him in the world.
Above All, Love
John 15 tells us that the highest form of love is sacrificial love. When humanity sinned, we separated ourselves from the holy, set apart, God and our punishment was separation from Him. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Jesus Christ willingly left heaven to live a perfect life on Earth and sacrifice himself for us as the payment for our sin. It’s through His life, death, and resurrection we are able to have a relationship with the Father. Jesus showed us the highest form of love and we cannot earn nor deserve it, yet it is a free gift that He alone gives to us, we just get to receive it and abide in Him.
When we repent and receive Jesus, he makes us a new creation (John 15:3). As we abide in Jesus, we learn to love Him. It is because we love him we practice being his disciple, which looks like denying our flesh, picking up our cross, and following Him (Matt. 16:24). As we deny our flesh we begin to produce the fruit of the Spirit (John 15:5)(Galatians 5). This fruit is the testimony of the transforming work of Jesus Christ in our lives. In other words, we love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19).
But, love isn’t passive, it’s patient and kind but it also rejoices in the truth (1 Cor. 13). The truth of the Bible and the truth that First, Faith stands on is Jesus Christ being the only way, the only truth, and the only life giver (John 14:6).
